Happy Easter Everybody! Hope you are all having a lovely bank holiday weekend & a big pat on the back for myself getting a monthly favourites post up on time (HOORAY), also can we just appreciate this easter picture by 100 Layer Cake.
Have you ever heard of Blindspot?! Well nor had I until I stumbled across it on SKY a few weeks ago. It is an american TV series set in New York, it starts off with the FBI finding a bag in the middle of Times Square which turns out to be an unconscious women who is covered in tattoos. I’m not going to say much more as I don’t want to give the game away but all of her tattoos mean something & uncover different things, I have been hooked the whole time & if if you haven’t seen it you must go & give it ago!
This month I have been loving Lily Pebbles, her vlogs are so easy to watch & I feel she is so down to earth! Her makeup is on point & I’m just loving her style at the moment, go and follow her on instagram #girlcrush.
Kanye West’s album.. I get the impression that some people love it or hate it & I love it. It’s difficult to get hold as he hasn’t released it on iTunes or Spotify only Tidal (sign up monthly but I have only done it for a month as it’s free) or you can buy it for £20 (no thanks).
Next up, two things that I have used everyday this month, the Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eye Shadow Palette & the Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette. You have probably heard a lot of bloggers & youtubers’ go on about these but trust me they are worth the hype, the eyeshadow palette is £28.50 a bargain for 15 shadows baring in mind how much the Urban Decay Naked Palettes cost, you get a lot for you money. They are so pigmented and do not crease throughout the day, it has a very good mixture of matte and shimmer shades which is perfect. My favourite shades are top left light nude colour, bottom left, and all three colours second in from the left.
The blushers are again same texture & pigmentation as the eye shadows, I love all four colours all wearable my two favourites are top right and bottom left, the perfect coral blush colour and a natural nude colour that gives of a subtle glow. You have to be very careful when apply the blusher, put a little on a brush and tap it off and apple gradually, I went mad when It first arrived and looked like a clown! This palette again is a bargain £15.
Perfect for birthday presents or even a cheeky treat for yourself! They come in many different colours, I chose these as I love bronze , gold and nude eye shadows & new I would get a lot use out of this palette & very easy to travel with, same as the blusher palette the perfect colours for spring & summer!
As mentioned in last months favourites, I have been loving interior design, so I took it upon myself to redecorate the house. My bedroom was one of the rooms that needed the most work, I got a new bed & new bedside tables, therefore my current chest of drawers did not match so instead of buying a new one I decided to paint it, best decision ever! In this picture are probably my favourite bits that I got, the mirror is from h&m (sold out sorry!) , it was originally going to be for my dressing room & to be honest I did expect it to be bigger but thought it would be perfect for my room. The basket (I have used it as a candle holder) is also from h&m, they have some cracking house bits in at the moment & last but not least my all time favourite is the lamp shade which is from Dunelm would you believe!
I have been looking for a serum for months, I have been living of Elemis samples since november but have struggle to find one under £50, I know some of you are going to say they are worth it etc, but I feel they don’t last long & here must be a serum that it just as good as the expensive ones. So when I went into Pixi it was the first thing I jumped on, they had three different ones but of course my first question would be ‘ What’s the best one for oily skin?’ which they replied saying all of them as they help balance the oils etc. The choices were Rose Oil Blend, Overnight Glow Serum & Hydrating Milky Serum which is the one I went for. I can honestly say I have loved using it, a little goes along way. I pat it onto my face after cleansing and toning and then after add a moisturiser. I got the the till to check out & started talking about how I had never tried Pixi Glow Tonic & before I knew it I was buying it.. I have no words, If you haven’t tried it I would recommend it. Hands down my skin has been clear (apart from hormonal spots) from spots, felt clean, healthy and has given me that ‘glow’ (cliche I know) but it’s true, I didn’t think it would work swell as it has, thanks Pixi! The next thing I need to try is their makeup range!
What have you been loving this month?! Have you tried any pixi products?
