To Dupe or Not To Dupe?!

Over the last few weeks I have run out of my trusty GlamGlow clearing treatment; £40 more about the product here and here, so I won’t dwell on it too much. but anyway, I ran out & couldn’t justify splurging out (last time I bought It, It was on offer).

So I thought I’d do some research and check out some ‘dupe’ products, this is where I stumbled across Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask – To Clear Pores £23.00. I couldn’t wait to buy it! Soon as It arrived I used it.. Back to GlamGlow, If I had a ‘spotty week’ I would actually use the mask to calm my spots down, get rid of redness and clear my pores. But when I put Origins on the next day I started breaking out & I know that some masks bring all your spots out to clear your skin later on, but honestly I cannot be dealing with that! It doesn’t have the same smell as GlamGlow (obviously) but Glam Glow has that distinctive liquorice scent that I adore.

So after that ramble I feel I should just go & buy GlamGlow again and get over how much it is! I guess the main lesson is, if you love a product don’t try & dupe it?! If you are thinking about buying one of these products, Feel Unique are currently doing an offer.

Have you used any products that work as well as GlamGlow? What’s your favourite mask? Any dupes that you love?

I love a makeup dupe and think there are some fab ones out there but I’m not one for skincare dupes. I’m always cautious about what I’m putting on my face so if I find a product that works, regardless of price I will stick to that product xx

My favourite at the moment is the seaweed ionic clay mask from body shop! It’s so good! I left it on a little too long and it made my skin a tad sore when taking it off, but that didn’t last long and after that, my skin was the smoothest I’ve ever felt in my life!!x x

I know exactly what you mean! I use to use this all the time, but my skin didn’t agree with it & had to start using it just on my t-zone as my cheeks can’t handle it. I do agree though this is also a great mask and very affordable! x

I’ve tried the SuperMud Clearing Treatment and loved it!! I’ve had two other samples from Glamglow (green and the turquoise) and LOVED it too! Seriously the GG masks are just amazing although a little heavy on the pockets hehe.. I don’t think there’s any masks quite like it when it comes to clay masks.
