High End VS Drugstore

High End VS Drugstore

Have trouble finding a good cheap foundation? Or do you prefer spending out on a luxury item?

My all time favourite high end foundation would have to be Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, I wear the colour Dessert Beige. This foundation is amazing for coverage, it covers everything and anything. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to blend this product in, as you know I have oily skin and this foundation is perfect for giving a matte look and does not budge all day, another bonus its SPF 10. The only downside is if you have dry skin then it does tend to stick around that area and doesn’t blend well. The price of this product is £28.50, I feel that this is a good price for this foundation and will keep on purchasing it.

On the other hand my favourite Drugstore foundation would have to be Rimmel Londons Match Perfection Foundation in 101 Ivory, this is the perfect light wear foundation with a hint of coverage, this product sinks into my skin and is so easy to blend, it gives you that glow without looking to oily. This also has an SPF of 18 which is higher than the high end foundation. The only problem is i have the wrong colour, this is to light for me but with abit of bronzing it looks fine, i will definitely be trying to find my colour and repurchasing at £6.99.

Which one would you choose?!

Every 2 weeks I am going to do a post on High End VS Drugstore, this week will be foundations.

What other products would you like me to talk about? Blushers? Bronzers?

How does the Estee Lauder come up in photos? Wishing for a foundation that stays put and doesn’t throw white back or disappear in pics. Would love to see the comparison between some drugstore blushes and high end ones 🙂

Personally I think it gives a flawless look, I haven’t experienced any white back problems! I have just started writing the blusher one, so keep an eye out!
